on Wednesday 09 February, I went in the afternoon to SCEL with Lucas, a friend of CAAM, I did not know around SCEL. So we went in the afternoon .. the sun was shining ... nothing to presage the coming storm ...
As you see in the pictures, was clear, with clusters towards the mountains.
D-Akaza, Bombardier BD-700, on final to 17R:
CC-CXC, Boeing 767-316ER, LAN, running and taking off from runway 17R:
CC-CVI, Boeing 737-2Q3 Advanced, the last 737 built SKY's fleet, on final to runway 17L:
CC-BAF, Airbus A320, LAN-final to 17L, notice that the clouds are rising:
352, Lear Jet 35A of the FACH:
N950AR, Centurion Cargo. The first surprise, a Centurion arriving before the scheduled time, the view on the threshold, the MD-11 on approach is impressive:
CC-CVP, Airbus A318, LAN Airlines, in final runway 17L:
CC-CZU, Boeing 767-316ER, LAN Airlines:
N429MC Boeing 747-400F Atlas in the final runway 17L ... If the MD-11 is incredible that a 747 will pass just above, is AWESOME!:
Of course, more Boeing 737 .. ja ja ja.
CC-CTF, Boeing 737-230 Advanced, SKY Airlines:
After these aircraft, we went to the terminal, to tour and meal.
And in two hours, the picture had changed, was sparkling and the sky was overcast, the wind was still from the south. The intention was to see the A340 exit to Madrid, so we went to the side of the 17R:
But before I get the LAN532 from Buenos Aires:
It was after this photo, it started to rain heavily ... Vista
terminalThe following pictures were taken from inside my car. The storm was south of SCEL, was a great show:
This is the last picture, this little scene, but it reflects the full extent of the thunderstorm that day
was an evening of contrasts, began despajada sunny, low traffic (as usual) but it was clouding up and reached two freighters ... As you can see, there were more landings on 17L which the 17R.
I'm glad I could catch some rays, and can share them with you.
dedicate this post to Lucas.
Hugs,
See you at SCEL or SCCV.
